| RMAF.....Meet & Greet Hi Larry and Steve,This is Tom In Cincinnati. Larry, we used to e-mail each other about the Supratek preamps, and Steve, I bought my Berning ZH270 amp from you. I am looking forward to meeting you guys in person. I will see you at Garcias. | |

| Preamp Deal of the Century Mint604,I have owned a Supratek preamp for years with no trouble whatsoever. NO, I don't sit around staring at the wiring inside of it. I prefer to sit back and enjoy the beautiful music it produces. This is what make me happy. I hope sitting ther... | |
| Alternative to VPI motor for Aries 3? VPI only takes phone calls 2 or 3 days a week. I think it is Tuesday, Wednesday. and Thursday. It may only be Tuesday and Thursday. You can e-mail them if you don't want to wait. | |
| Alternative to VPI motor for Aries 3? The magic lube that stringreen refers is a lube for the turntable bearing. I got some about 6 months ago. It works great. | |
| Difference between the VPI Aries 2 & Scoutmaster? The Aries 2 will not accommodate a 12" arm. I have the Aries 2 EXTended with the JMW 12.5 arm. The dimensions are larger to accommodate the 12" arm. This is a killer turntable and I have not desire to replace it. | |

| upgrade VPI HW19 Mk IV or get a new table? "It's just that I wonder if I am missing out on something"This is what keeps the audio business going. | |
| upgrade VPI HW19 Mk IV or get a new table? I adjust VTA by the thickness of the LP on my JMW arm (this is easy to do and can be done on the fly with a turn of the knob on the tower of the arm). The difference in sound is substantial (to the point that if I forget to make a proper adjustmen... | |
| upgrade VPI HW19 Mk IV or get a new table? I had a VPI mk4 that started as a VPI Jr. I gradually upgraded to the mk4. It was a very good table, but I ended up selling it to buy a VPI Aries 2 with the JMW 12.5 arm. This was a huge improvement in my system. The non suspended Aries 2 is much ... | |
| Installing a VPI stainless steel ring? I have the VPI ring, but I don't know what you mean by rubber rings. Mine is a stainless steel ring with black felt paced inside the ring at 3 points. The ring sets on the lp. You still need to use a center weight on the LP also. | |
| Typical upgrade path from VPI? I am not sure where your problem is, but I own a VPI Aries 2 Extended with a JMW 12.5 arm and ZYX Atmos cartridge. I disagree with those who think the JMW arm is only so so. The sound I am getting is great. Mid bass and lower mid range has plenty ... |
