Ringmat vs. Linn felt mat
The felt mat is best for the LP12.
Newbie Question: VTA and Rega P25/RB600
Origin Live and Expressimo Audio both make variable VTA adjusters for the Rega arms. They are around $40. They are threaded adjusters, and not the easiest to use, but they do work. You can dial it in exactly, with a little patience and a good ear....
Are your used items selling?
It may have had a bearing on it, but I think that many others are aware of the Berning quality, without my mentioning it. Also, the Berning ZH270 normally sells used for about $3600-$3800, which is also about 80% of it's $4500 retail price, so thi...
Good turntable equipped for about 700 dollars?
From what I've heard, all LP12's are called "Transcription" turntables. However, they only accept normal"length arms. Most "transcription" arms that I am aware of, are long arms, around 12 inches long. These will not go on an LP12. There are diffe...

Zaikesman, you crack me up! Maybe we can get together and head up to Hudson's Bay for a seal roundup this winter!Ohlala, I only talk about the stuff that I want to keep, on the posts I place. Particularly the Teres, I wouldn't part with that for a...
I'm taking votes
Could be heartbreaking when you find out that your LP12 beats out your $20k CD12. And I think your speakers are good ones also. I would recommend getting a new Shelter 901 cartridge to replace the aging Troika, and spend the other $18500 on mint c...
the Listening Room
Hi Rives.I may not be representative of the typical case, but I would go for the maximum result regardless of convenience or decoration factors. I don't have anyone here but me and my pets, so we can accomodate anything that makes better sound. Co...
neutrality vs. realism
Oh, boy! Here we go again. My take on this is that our ears are the ultimate judge, and I will grant that impressions may vary from person to person. If this makes me a "subjectivist" so be it.Now, alot of the controversy and confusion come from th...

Very funny, Herman! :^)
Looks like I'm trying the Hagerman Trumpet.
Please do, since nobody appears to have any knowledge of it.
Are your used items selling?
Thank you, Unsound. That is all I could ask of anyone. And I respect your opinions, and value them too.
Are your used items selling?
Just yesterday, I sold my Berning MicroZOTL for 80% of its retail value. That seemed to hold it's value pretty well. It sold within 30 minutes of placing the ad. For full asking price. And just for the record, I eat lots of meat every day, wear lea...
any tried Still Points?
Thanks, Kris. Nice pics. I'll definitely look into these.
Will a Denon D 103 work with Benz lukaschek PP1 ??
I think that the Denon will be okay with that 22k loading, but not at its best. However, the sonic changes may, or may not be to your liking. Only you can tell that. I don't think it will destroy the sound, only create a little more air, and a ris...
Seeing the light
Hey, we're missing the obvious here. What we really need to do, is to get these bulbs cryo-treated, screw them into cryo-treated hospital grade sockets, use $3000 power cords, and plug them into cryo-treated hospital grade outlets, if we really wa...
