another DAC - Streamer quandry
My current setup is MacBook Pro using Tidal, Audirvana (I dig it), iTunes > USB output > Wyred 4 Sound Recovery USB Re-Clocker > PreSonus USB DAC at 24 bits and 96 Khz > XLR balanced cables > JBL LSR 310s subwoofer > AirPulse Model 1 speakers
Everything is powered by a Furman PL-8C with a big toroidal transformer
I tried the Optical input to the AiPulse Model 1 speakers and it sounds fab at 192 Khz. Separation and clarity along with noise floor is very good... but i cannot integrate my subwoofer as the XLR cables are passing signal to the AirPulse speakers and there is no other way to make that happen with the LSR310s. Getting proper bass out of the AirPulse entails some singing volume levels with alot of iTunes EQ.. not what I call an ideal.
What DAC or DAC - Streamer should I upgrade with? Topping Dx7s?
What should be my next Subwoofer?
