"I don't have a turntable. I just want the cover. All my music is on my computer."

I can understand it. I am going to sell my CEC + DAC. CD is not worth it. I only buy 3 per year. My MacBook is good enough for it.
But I don't sell my Turntable =)
If one prefers vinyl to cd that's great. But please understand that others may not share your preference.

Also, there are many albums that sound better on cd than vinyl.

So enjoy cd, sacd, vinyl or whatever, but always respect the right of others to enjoy whatever format works best for them.
Only if you have properly set up one source of every type, i.e., tape, vinyl, CD, SACD, and have used the various media types will you really have the perspective to make this judgement.

At this juncture, my favorites are vinyl and cd and some of that has to do with the proliferation and availability of recordings in those formats. I have some great sounding recordings in each format, but yes, you gotta love those 12" album covers, lyric sheets and posters that some of them came with.

Some day, I just want to tile my rear wall with cool album covers.
I am a cd only person ............. but you do have to love that album art .............

Exactly...and I think I have properly set up all of those Plato mentions. The result being, that the software not the front-end hardware makes my choices of what media I might like best reproduced though my speakers.
At the end of Day, after all discussions, what is bad, nonsens, overhyped etc. every owner from his favorite - beloved - components will say
"...but I like it".

The typical problem of High End.
