Are you taking about the large black domes?
If so, the idea polish is Meguiars "Scratch X" polish.
It is a high end automotive polish.
It is an untrafine polish that does remove very fine scratches AND leaves a super nice smooth clean result.
I use it on CDs.
(It's only flaw is if the surface is originally NOT a fully shining surface, but has a dulled finish. The Scratch X WILL turn it into a highly polished finish.)
And I used Scratch X to restore the finish on a Denon DP-59 base.
Also good for TT dustcovers.
