Bluesound Node 2i Question

Mine comes in today, have to follow this thread. My impression was the app controls the node but it connects to the router either wifi or ethernet.

The interface? Basic and user friendly my thoughts. Difficult part was determining where to set the unit to blend in with the rest of my gear...*grinz

Two weeks into the Node 2. My sound sytem now has access to online radio stations, and can network to my PC storage drives. Streaming did open my closed mind, I’ve found quite a few online stations I like.
With that said I do have some input I’d like to see eventually addressed. Construction of the device, add an on/off button, and move the USB port to another location rather than immediately under the ethernet port. The user interface on the app could use some help(added features) as well as the software itself. The other thing really bothered me was it has to index the files you tell it to see, why? It sees the files, why does it need indexed? All of the info is already available. Auto features to me also need addressed, owner should have the ability to disable those. I haven’t bothered to look at the traffic to and from the device to make sure bluesound had security in mind, but that is on my agenda. Just my thoughts.
All in all, for the price, nice.
