CD no more produced?

Except dictated shops, the CD's are stopped selling on major shopping malls.
Due to unavailability of CD started looking  at streaming, finally selected Tidal, but I am not satisfied, Using Teac DAC, Spec RSA717Ex integrated amp paired with Dali speakers

And also downloaded few albums through paid service for Hiresaudio and  burned to CD, the quality of sound is not comparable with Music company produced CD's.
Have Music company's have stopped producing CD?

lol @ bestbuy, not the place to purchase music. Discogs to review when it was released and all releases since, I prefer the original. As n80 pointed out, know what you’re looking for and new releases can be had directly from the artists site, usually.
MFSL and similar have their own sites to research what’s available as well as what they’ve released. Pre 2002 MFSL releases I like this site > http://www.bsnpubs.com/la/mofi/mofi.html
