Cerious Technologies NEW Graphene Cables

Now, this is not a advertisement, just a posting sharing my experience on some well made great sounding cables at a very reasonable price. Besides, I don't think Cerious Technologies is set up for a big influx of cable orders.

But, if you get the chance to try these cables, please do.

I have been interested in the newer cables coming out that are using Graphene as a conductor. SR cables seemed interesting, but I always hated the way there cables had all those extra wires (with the active shields and such). I then noticed an ad early in I think November or December from Cerious Technologies for Graphene cables. I investigated how the cables were assembled and it seemed like quite a laborious process.

I ordered (with a 30 day money back guarantee) the balanced Graphene interconnects, and boy did they impress me. Such depth, soundstage, realism, frequency smoothness, effortless sound. I was truly impressed!  I now have a complete loom of the Cerious Technologies Graphene cables. That is; interconnects, speaker cables, digital cables and power cords.

I ended up selling all of my other cables and to those of you who have read my postings know that cables have always been my curiosity.

So, as I began this post, let me again iterate, I have no alliance to the company, my posting is for those of you looking for an great alternate high quality Graphene made cable without spending a fortune.

Congratulations on the major upgrade to your system. I do think the proper implementation of Graphene in an audio system is now making a major advance in the quality of sound. But I predict in tthe near future it will be misused by many "manufacturers" as they jump on the Graphene band wagon to generate sales. I found that a SR Black fuse in the QOL unit improves the sound. I found that interesting.

Bob Grost:

Thank you for posting on your approach to building cables, and how graphene may be improving the sound. And a major thank you for being a manufacturer who offers a 30 day evaluation of your products.

Congratulations on trying and finding a more satisfying cable system.

Glad to see the Synergistic Research Black fuses worked in your system. It is interesting that the addition of graphene to many areas of signal transfer is having a positive and an accumulative effect.

I am also using a BSG Qol unit.  Even here power cords and fuses make a difference. Even though "they are not in the signal path".

Great to know you use the AudioDharma Cable Cooker. It is the only way to completely  break in a cable.

ozzy:

Glad to see you are still enjoying the BSG QOL unit. I find it fascinating that it responds to changes in a power cord and type of fuse but it does. It does respond to a 500 ma Synergistic Research Black fuse. It also sounds good with a SR 20 fuse. It did not benefit from my experiments with ECT placements.

Lots of excitement for some new generation cables, fuses and now speakers (Magico), that utilize graphene. And I believe this excitement is warranted. Of the graphene cables I have  tried the Synergistic Research Atmosphere Power cable level 3 (digital) and the SR  Black level 2 speaker cables. I am extremely pleased with the improvement.

At least with the SR cables they do need more breakin than some previous cables. If you have access to a cable conditioner I would certainly recommend using one to bring out all the potential these cables have.

I applaude Cerious Technologies for taking the time and risk to bring their Graphene enhanced cables to the audio market!

I have the SR Atmosphere speaker cables and an Atmosphere digital Level 3 power cord. They are very nice. I think graphene is going to become widely used in audio. The Atmosphere  cables and Cerious Technology both use them. Magico's latest speakers use graphene in the drivers.

If you want to get an idea of what graphene can do for a system, I suggest trying the Synergistic Research Black fuses and their Black wall outlet.

I have found these two simple upgrades to make a significant improvement in my music enjoyment.

Very nice and informative post. Three well designed cables from three excellent designers. It really is a great time to be an audiophile and music lover.

Ozzy:

I have no idea how Graphene works in my Synergistic Research fuses, wall outlets and now power cable and speaker cable, but the sonic improvements are clearly there. I have found no details of in what way Magico is using it in a speaker but I hope to find out in two weeks at the Newport Beach Show.

So far the SR products that have the Graphene all have a sound  as described in the fuse thread. For me there is a real sense of more music with less noise. There is not a sense of damping or filtering. The final effect is more emotion from the music and I find I am drawn further into the performance.

I hope those reading this thread will consider using a Cable conditioner such as the AudioDharma Cable Cooker or a Hagerman FryBaby to allow these excellent cables to reach their maximum potential.

I recondition my cables every six months and I continue to be impressed with the improvement afterwards.

Newport Beach Audio Show is nine days away !

It is worth the effort to attend.

I am glad you are enjoying the new cables. I am also still enjoying the QOL unit!

Ozzy:

I am very happy for you to find a system of cables that is bringing an increased joy to your listening.

I hope everyone who is evaluating and comparing cables can obtain the use of the Audio Dharma Cable Cooker to fully condition their cables. With it's Ground Breaker attachment, this device conditions Hot, Neutral, and even Ground. The improvement in even in "fully broken in" cables is significant.

Broken in cables take three days to fully settle in just from connecting and disconnecting. Rigorous cable evaluation is a slow process that can not be rushed.
