iTunes is primarily a digital juke box that allows you to import music, create playlists and share music but it does allow you to burn CDs. It's aimed at formats other than .WAV files - like MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless; although supports uncompressed digital.

The power of EAC lies in its ability to get the music off the CD onto your hard drive. You can then convert it, compress it or burn it.
