Is Oppo 105 far better than PS3 for streaming?

I very rarely spin digital discs anymore for anything. Almost all of my music listening is vinyl and my movie and even tv watching is streaming through vudu, hulu, netflix, or amazon via a PS3. I do have a decent Musical Fidelity A5 CDP. I am wondering if the picture performance of an OPPO would be far superior to that of the PS3 when streaming?
