However the JC1s should have plenty of juice to drive those speakers. The OP needs to trouble shoot all connections and evaluate source and pre. More information about his/her system would help.

He should be able to blow the walls down. I had the Parasound Hint with Maggie 1.7i and never got above 10 or 11 o'clock on the volume.
