Kansas City

Interested in having casual and occasional listening "dine arounds" or something along that order. Need to get input into my system and how to improve it, and listen to other systems to get ideas.

Would love to start a small group!

Hey guys!  It appears this is an old post, but I have wanted to do this for quite some time. I'm not sure if you all have Facebook, but I went ahead and took a step toward hopefully gathering some of our local enthusiasts. Right now the goal is to gather as many of us as we can for discussion, and eventually I'd like to move on toward face to face meet ups, maybe do a local audio tour where we stop at several homes to hear what we all have to offer etc. Feel free to invite your friends, and I hope to be chatting and LISTENING with you all soon!

Now this is exciting.  I'd love to hear the 30.7's!
I might not be able to afford them, but I sure can appreciate everything about them!

There are a couple you just have to know where to look. I'd be down. To meet up if anyone is interested.
Wow look at the gaps between posts... no wonder it never happened. I don't remember seeing any high end audio stores around KC, and I have lived here for 6 years,
Did the Kansas City club/group ever happen. Move/new to this location, but was part of a group prior to moving here and it worked well. Was a lot of fun. We would all host a party, bring different CD's and get to listen to them on other systems. I am in Saint Joseph MO (35/45 miles north of KC) seems to have an audio void here.

I have a few system up and running.

Main system- B&W Nautlius 800 Speaker:= Krell FBP 700cx Amp:= Krell KCT Pre-Amp:= Krell KPS-28c CD player:= PS Audio P600 Power conditioning:= Transparent Audio Cast Cables, with front end on Brighstar Referance platforms. With Velodyne 18 servo sub hooked in (use some times)

Second System is suround- B&W 803S speakers front L&R:= B&W HTM Center:= Kef's for rears:= Lexicon MC12B processor:= Krell 5X200 Amp:= Krell Showcase DVD:= Sunfire Sub:= Monster Cable power conditioning:= MIT cables and 70" Sony TV.

Third System is a dedicated Theatre system with Espon projector, projecting on to a 110" screen. Definitive Technology speaker with built in powered subs in all speaker.

Time somewhat limited but some type of club/Group would be nice and when winter comes, would be a really good thing to help winter pass.
I posted years ago, and would still be interested in an occasional "listen" with others interested in good music on a good system. Between family and work, my listening time and thus ability to actively participate would be sporadic at best.

That said, I'd love to be on a list and try to share/compare and listen.
I would be interested as well and have a couple more friends that would join the group. Please let me know the status.
Thanks,

Hi my name is Jerry, I live in the KC area and was wondering if your audio club got off the ground. I am just getting back into hi end audio after a long hiatus and woudn't mind talking to people with the same interest.
Sounds like a good idea, it would be nice to check out other people systems, and have other people critique mine.
I'd be VERY interested in forming an Audio Club in the Kansas City area. How about we exchange email addresses and set something up?
