LA AS Cancelled

Marine de Rogez-Presson (LAAS) reports "An Open Letter to the Industry. LAAS Cancelled.

Dear Industry Friends,

It is with sadness and regrets that I announce the cancellation of the 2018 LA Audio Show — Orange County. Refunds will start to be issued immediatelyto those exhibitors who have already paid deposits and/or full remittances for space and other services. These refunds will be in the form of checks and will arrive by USPS Mail to the address provided on contracts. Attendee tickets will be refunded through the system they were purchased".

Wasn't one of these LA audio shows cancelled last year as well? 

Very disappointing!  They cancelled T.H.E. Show in 2017. 

I guess we can continue to count on AXPONA (which was great this year) and RMAF. 

They should have never moved the Newportshow , great location 
a nice get away for many ,LA too much pressure  get back
to The Newport show.

Wow, for an audio market that size, I'd think there would be more than 35.

I really hope more will sign up. Maybe they are waiting for the refunds from the LA AS.

I received my refund today.

It might make more sense to have this show in the wintertime.

I'm disappointed and it seems that the cancellation was caused, at least in part, by two shows competing with each other.  Last year it was T.H.E. Show that folded, and this year it's the other one (or both).
