Machina Dynamica mini isolators

They look like bedsprings to me. Is this for real? I see many positive feedbacks for the seller.
psag
Yeah, they have been cryoed. It makes all the difference between an 9 cent and 9 dollar spring.
Those 'bedsprings' are really NASA inertia control parts. The Government paid about $500 for EACH of them, and Machina Dynamica snatched up the surplus for five buck bidding on a cargo container full of them.
So snatch them up while you can.

because a fool and his money.. You may not have any money if you buy these gizmos.. But at least you will have a piece of NASA history. that is the story I heard..

And if you believe this then I have stock in bridge to sell you...
Geoff should come on this thread and defend his product. At least with this one, its pretty clear how it works. At least as best I can tell. The only question would be the value compared to other isolation devices.

Isolation devices are a funny thing though, there is actually other products that might perform the same job as the MD offering claims to do. So it is at least possible to compare these to something else apples/apples unlike many MD offerings which seem to have been conceived more within the high end audio Twilight Zone where things become a bit more hazy, to put it politely.
Thanks for your responses. I just wanted to establish that this is a real product, and not a brilliant commentary on audiophile behavior (myself not excepted).
" I just wanted to establish that this is a real product, and not a brilliant commentary on audiophile behavior (myself not excepted)."

Oh, it's real, it's very real. Money is exchanged.

Most including me wonder the same upon first encounter I bet. "Brilliant" is not the proper adjective to best describe it though.

Commentary is just words....relatively harmless.
Mapman, I am giving serious consideration to promoting you to Assistant Shill.
"Mapman, I am giving serious consideration to promoting you to Assistant Shill."

You've been considering that for a long time.... :^). Honestly, I do not feel worthy.
"For a few dollars more, forget springs and go with Tempur-Pedic."

I've been researching for a new mattress lately. Lots of good info out there including various grades of bed-springs, memory foam, etc.
Mapman, au contraire. You have a proven track record. Kinda like puppy love. :-)
If only Geoff could find some tiny 'Tempur-Pedic' matresses I bet he would be sellign those..
Little dollhouse size beds under your components..
Elizabeth. Try to be just a little more original. I need to be entertained.
