MARANTZ 8801 passing 4K????

Can a MARANTZ 8801 pass 4K ?

A lot has changed since then and the 4K formats have gone through several iterations. You will need something that has HDMI 2.0 / HDCP 2.2 to make sure you support any of the current 4K standards. You could try with AV8801, but there will be some 4K devices/formats that just don't work with it.

The 8802a will which has HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0a. On march 18th 2018 Marantz is going to provide firmware for Dolby vision Pass-through. You should be avulse to get a 8802a for a good price new or used because the 8805 will be coming out in early spring time of 2018.
