Need Discontinued Cary CD306 Repaired

I have a Cary CD306 that is giving me the "no disk" error.  Cary no longer services this model.  Is there someone out there who can take a look at it?

HI Krkno1- sorry to hear about your player.  Before sending it out, try cleaning the laser lens, which is the most common cause of the "no disk" error.  Rat shack used to sell a lens cleaner disk that worked well, but I am sure there are others.  Good Luck!

My files say the two Cary sacd players used "SCD-1 laser", now that searched out to be, Sony KHS-180A lasers.???? "Rocking Horse **** to find new."

George,

There seems to be conflicting info on these - best is probably to take a look at which one is used before ordering a new one.

KrKno I may be able to help you if your in the US

Good Listening

Yes the 306/200 seems to be fine with VAM1202

But if the two SACD's are  Sony KHS-180A it's guna hurt.

Cheers George
