NEW Cerious Technologies Upgrade - Graphene Matrix Cables

CT Graphene Matrix Cables:

I have been using the CT GE cables for almost two years.
I recently traded up for a full loom of CT Graphene Matrix cables, including speaker, interconnect and PCs, and I wanted to share my experience. I started by replacing only the ICs to try and hear the differences.

The new Matrix interconnects sounded better than the GE immediately after install. I found the original Graphene Extreme ICs to be good but not on the same level as the outstanding GE speaker cables. As break-in started to clear things up, I can hear more clarity and detail not heard before. The ICs are incredible on their own and at the 30 hour mark, I can hear a clear superiority over the GE ICs. I recently started using the Teo Game Changer ICs and preferred them over GE but the Teo has now fallen to the new Graphene Matrix ICs. My Teo’s were and are great, and it is stunning to experience Cerious Technologies commitment to making great technology better.

On the third day of listening to the GM ICs. I couldn’t wait anymore, Having too much fun. I then installed the speaker cables and power cords once I had a pretty good feel for the sound of the GM ICs.

With the full loom of GM cables running in they are going through some strange changes and definitely need time to settle down before realizing what they can really do and very important Bob says to not move them. Since I have a home office I can let them run in all day. I’m at around 120 hours now and they are still improving. Here’s what I’m hearing:

Extended highs and tighter lows.
More detail and better low level listening
Drums are tighter, more clearly defined. So real is the snap of the snare drum. The bass has more depth, seemingly goes deeper, lower. This aspect stands out the most.

I am not in the industry, I’m not an engineer, I don’t work for Cerious Technologies, but I am a fan of the cables and am enjoying what my system is capable of.

I’m closer to my own pinnacle of sound reproduction than ever before.

mac48025...i will let you know also as i just sold my HF UR interconnects to buy the new Matrix RCA interconnects..
Lak...I sold my HF UR interconnect and will be replacing it with the Matrix. In the interval,I am using an old Audio Telnet Litz I/c which sounds superb and 95% of the HF UR...amazing
i received my Matrix i/c and power cords today..a day ahead of the expected delivery date...YEA..!!!...i installed the i/c initially and played 2 tracks before dinner and will wait until after watching TV to listen again...My initial impression of those 2 tracks is just amazingly positive. The improvement it made over the previous HF CT-1UR interconnect if profound. That 'right out of the box'..stay tuned...
mac48025....i just installed an RCA interconnect, last night, that replaced a HF CT-1UR, and already find it better than the HF...Bob says that right out of the box it is at 40% of what it will be after breaking in.i did get 2 of the Matrix pcs but unfortunately the stiffness of them precludes me from using them on my amps...just my thoughts..
i listened last night for about 3 hrs and initial thoughts are as follows....soundstage larger..much better deliniation of instruments within the soundstage.can hear instruments within the soundstage not prevoiously heard. vocals with much better consonant articulation. This compared to the HF cable..Very happy to this point..
lak. Unless you want to sell your HF .. don’t do it. I agree with your thoughts exactly. Just a superb cable. Mine now about 15 hrs old, from a use standpoint, and gets better every night. Magic. I could not use the pc, however, due it’s stiffness and not being able to make the tight turn from wall to amps. Sad. Will try the speaker cables in the near future.
have ordered a pair of speaker cables as of yesterday. can't wait. As lprules1962 notes they are great. Each day brings improvements.     .............lak...wish i could help with the Matrix power cord findings but i could not make them fit in my system..
in_shore...i had to send my 3' Matrix pcs back because i could not make them bend enough to make a 12" distance connection. i have emailed Bob to see whether a 4'-5' pc will turn a loop quick enough to make that connection.I hope it will..i have Matrix speaker cables coming very soon. The interconnects are amazing..
Received my Matrix speaker cables today to go with the Matrix interconnects I already have.To say they are, right out of the box, a significant improvement over the previous generation of CT speaker cables would be an understatement. They are amazing. The construction is first class and equal to or better then any I have had. Every aspect of the musical presentation has improved. Details as I get more along...Thanks Bob.
t_ramey..yes. I had the Graphene Extreme speaker cables before. These are significantly better. will listen again tonight. The total burn in time may be > 100 hrs so if they are going to get better for that long this is going to be a great ride..
new Matrix speaker cables continue to evolve. The music, with them in, is so much more emotionally involving then with the previous CT cables.Guitar strumming is so tight and you can hear each string as its hit within the soundstage. Previous background instruments are so much more prominent now.The combination of the Matrix i/c and speaker cable has truly taken my system's sound to a 'new level'.So natural sounding.Vocal intonations are just so much more 'you are there'...more later...
jsm71...my Matrix speaker cables are about at 100 hrs and get better every week. Just extraordinary.Best I have had..will be trying the pcs. If I can make a 4’ cable do a 360 with both ends about 18” apart...stay tuned
jay23...i have a 4' Matrix arriving tomorrow to specifically see how much it will bend...The 3' Matrix i initially got would not fit between a space of about 20" from outlet to IEC on my amps..hopefully, with the extra foot it will be able to bend enough..stay tuned...
I received the 4' Matrix pc yesterday and I still cannot connect my lt channel amp to the wall outlet due to the stiffness. It will be interesting if Bob's new model will allow the connection. The rt channel I was able to connect but with significant difficulty which I would not want to stay that way...
lance lock....your statement above about the ‘Matrix have close to as much flexibility as the GE’ could not be further from the truth....!!...I had a 1m Matrix pc and could not make it attach from my wall outlet to the IEC on my amps which are ~ 18” apart...I then tried a 4’ Matrix to see if I could loop it and make the connections and I was.....with a great deal of effort ,able to connect the right channel amp but not the left. Not only are they stiff end to end but you cannot torque, the ends, more then about 60 degrees....give or take. I am sure they are as good a product as the interconnects and speaker cables are but easy to work with they are not...
lancelock....not a problem....just want those interested in Bob's great cables to know what they can and can't do.
Thanks guys for your thoughts. I borrowed an audio friend of mines Silent Source 'Reference' power cords to try against the CT Graphene Extreme and the difference/improvement was significant. I have ordered a pair of them to replace the GE pcs.
t_ramey...go to the SS website and email Frank Dickens..who is Mr. SS Audio...I got a fairly good deal. I have done a lot of business with Mr.Dickens, including SS cables in the past and my Lumin A1 player...He may give you a fairly good deal too..Dave
thezaks...correct..i was comparing the SS 'reference' pc to the GE CT pc..not the Matrix...as I could not get that to fit. The SS 'reference' IS much better then the CT GE..as it should be...It may be that the Matrix pc is even better but I will never know that..I am sure Bob's Matrix cord is very good..
