Well mine really improved when I followed Prcinka's advice and moved the speakers forward that extra 1/8 of an inch. And it works best if I wear only one shoe. Have to leave the socks on for proper dampening though.

I forgot there are a bunch of jaded proffesionals that halve it all figured out here...cute orengrandpa.

Reading your thread abuck on your findings...mine very little toein for the speakers...have tried it with/without...it doe's take getting off it and tryin it...only way youll know what you have been missing.
