New Tweak --- Its Fantastic

THE NEW TWEAK

Over the good part of this past year I’ve been beta testing a new tweak, the name of which is "Total Contact." Its a hi-bred graphene contact enhancer that is different from all other contact enhancers that have come and gone for one reason or another. I’m not new to these contact enhancers, having had quite a bit of experience with a product developed by the late Brian Kyle and his "Quick Silver" contact enhancer. The "Total Contact" is different ... a LOT different.

"Total Contact" is graphene based and is not a vibration control. It eliminates micro-arching between two contacts. Micro-arching, much like Micro-vibration smears the sound in our stereo systems. Its the type of distortion that we don’t know is there .... until we eliminate it. There is no break-in as we know it. The sound is improved right off the bat, but what you hear is only a smidgen of what’s to come.

I tested three generations of "TC," each of which was an improvement over the previous incarnation. The final mix was cryogenitically treated and made for a more effective, much smoother application. It comes in a large hypodermic needle type plunger containing 1.5 ml of product and includes a instructional DVD and an application brush.

The application should be applied with a very thin coat to all of your electrical connections .... from your cartridge pins to your power cords. I did my entire system, including the ends of my fuses.

Upon initial application, you will notice an improvement in clarity, correctness of tonal balance and a more overall organic sound. But ... that is just scratching the surface of what this magic paste does. As it cures, the improvements become more apparent. Much more!

There are two real break-through events that happen almost to the day with "Total Contact," one at four weeks and another at eight weeks . At four weeks, you’ll get a real jump in clarity and overall improvement. That’s only a taste though of what’s to come at eight weeks. At eight weeks your system’s focus will make a jump in SQ that is so real - its surreal.

After 40 years in the hobby, and a total tweak nut, I have never heard anything that does what this graphene paste does. The see-through clarity at eight weeks becomes simply amazing. The "paste" eventually cures into a kind of polymer plastic and it seems that the sound improves with each listening session. So, its important that you leave your contacts alone for the duration. If you’re the type of person that continually switches wires in and out, you’ll have to re paste until enough time has elapsed to get "the cure."

The only problem I had was with the first batch and that had to do with shorting out a tube pin in the line stage. Use the "TC" very sparingly on tube pins, if at all. I only had problems with the line stage tube pins. The Amp, CD Player and Phono Stage has had no tube pin problems at all.

Tim Mrock, one of our fellow A’goners, is the developer of the product. Its taken Tim 15 years and several patents to get it right. Tim has "pasted" every electrical contact he can find in his audio system, all of the switches in his circuit breaker box, every contact in his car ... and has used it in commercial applications such as hospital circuit breakers, surgical lights ... and other places where efficiency and long life of electrical components are deemed important.

This product is highly recommended to anyone who truly wants to get the most out of his/her audio systems. There’s enough product in each tube to do at least two audio systems as it just takes a very thin coat on each application to be effective. The last tube was enough to do my system twice and then a friend’s system this past weekend.

PS: There were a couple of other A’goner beta testers of this product as well. Hopefully, they will chime in here with their experiences for comparison. I "pasted" both of Steve Fleschler’s systems a few days ago, perhaps he will comment on his results too. We forgot to paste Steve’s power cords though, so there’s a lot more to be had from Steve’s two fantastic systems.

I think there may be a market opening up for a very small paint roller and tray for use when applying the TC.  Sounds like an opportunity for machina dynamica.
clearthink, I think by now you have noticed that your sense of importance is only your own.  Your post are meaningless.
Hi fleschler, I don’t understand why you need to talk so negatively about Wolf and the "other slanderous trolls", he seems like a experienced and honest person. To judge someone by their view of a material object seems closed minded.

I guess another way to look at it is that viewing the TC A’gon sales ad, if I understand it correctly, 56 vials of the product has been sold as of now. Yet there have been over 80,000 views and 2,000 posts on this thread. So it appears that some of the 56 people who bought the product are repeating themselves, and are not really convincing many others to buy the product. The majority of viewers and posters appear to not care enough about micro arching to spend $300 on it, not unlike Wolf.

And for the record, I hope Tim and TC continued success, but what you 56 people think about anyone on this forum who is expressing their opinion is not relevant, that is why this forum exists. Just one person's opinion.
To be clear, I am not saying that if I had a fine, highly resolving system like many here, that I would not hear the difference and love the product.  My system is just not resolving enough at this time for me to worry about my connections.  I do believe that when Tim recoups his investment and if he can lower the price a bit that sales will dramatically increase.  A lower price, even if for a smaller volume of product, has been requested by a number of the posters.
The basic assumption that makes this tweak viable is that there is not adequate electricity/signal reaching the equipment due to a loss from micro arching.  Stated another way, that the designers of our equipment did not ensure that the full amount of power/signal was being delivered to our gear to ensure proper operation, that our power cords, fuses, rca and xlrs, and speaker cables and their connectors are so complicated and under designed to perform their intended function 100%?

Geoff spouts

>>>>>>Huh? What? That’s NOT the basic assumption at all! That is actually a perfect example of a Strawman argument - ranting about a false assumption, or a made up assumption. Nobody ever said micro arcing results in a loss of power. Nor does it. What micro arcing does result in is noise and distortion.

Oh right, when the power or signal passes from one connection to another it makes little sparks and sparky noises that you can hear (either at the connection or through speakers). I can see how cleaning a dirty connection could improve things, but it takes a true tweaker to buy and swallow sparky medicine.

Hey deep, the fact that you are putting your vastly superior intellectual abilities to use discussing the merits of "sparky tonic" kind of indicates that maybe you are taking this all a little too seriously. There are plenty of us who use our writing and reasoning skills in real jobs and don’t have the need to research and write long winded dossiers about tweaks in our time off. But, I will look forward to reading your well thought out, grammatically correct review of this product after you purchase it and wait the required two months for it to activate and start working.
Also, deep, the fact is that all 16 of your posts since joining A'gon are defending this product from us naysayers.  Do you have a financial or other interest in it, or just really jazzed by graphene?
I don't think shadorne is a troll.  What it looks like, and I am not saying it is so, is that that the TC brain trust realizes that having to wait for 8 weeks to see results is a put off to many, so now we are having immediate results now that will be supplemented by an epiphany in 8 weeks.
Frank, you may want to review the policies section of the ad.  It seems to first say that returns are not accepted and then that refunds may be requested within 7 days.  Unless you meant to say that you can't return the product but may receive a refund.
Geoff is off his A-game.  He hasn't inquired if TC is applied with brush strokes only in one direction, back and forth, or in a circular fashion.
If anyone is actually thinking of applying anything to a fuse in a fuse box, I would recommend you think twice.  However, if you do, you may be eligible to win a Darwin Award.

To me the threads for the fuses and TC are some of the most interesting to read.  I really am not interested one way or another whether or not the fuses or TC are "fantastic" or "snake oil".  I have no interest in them at this time, as I have other hobbies that are priorities, but say to each his own.

But the banter between the so called "believers" and the so called "naysayers" is world class and fun to read.  This is why I read these threads.

That said, I will give two to one odds that tommylion has his eight week epiphany in the seventh week.  "Just having a little fun 😉"

While visiting my podiatrist last month I was informed I have a mild case of micro-arching.  After reading this thread, regarding Total Contact and that it prevent micro-arching, I purchased a $300 unit.  I then “pasted” approximately one half of the container in my $60 tennis shoes.  The improvement was nothing short of miraculous.  Both my girlfriend and her husband, as well as my mother, immediately noticed the improvement in my step and stride.

But that’s only half of the story, after 4 weeks there was another (second) round of improvement.  I am now training to be a hurdler in the next Olympic track and field events.  I am a little bit nervous regarding the upcoming 8 week improvement, but all I can say is I am having a red suit sewn up with a big golden lightning bolt on the front!

Before you Debbie downers and nervous nellies doubt me, you have to try it yourselves.  Forget the science and non science behind my claims, I know for myself, having used it in my house, in my shoes.  I have recommended it to my friends, who have similar micro-arching problems, and there experience has been similar to my own.

Hey wolf,

Those articles are a bit of an eye opener.  From what I can understand you definitely do not want to be cutting sheets of graphite yourself, as some have suggested.  Best left to the professionals.

Geoff, why not just admit that in all the chatter about graphene, it was wolf that brought up the concern first about a potential safety hazard if it is used incorrectly.  You will notice I did not bring it up about TC, I discussed cutting it from its sheet format, as do the articles.

Wolf did not discuss its application, he discussed potential consequences from inhaling it when removing the application, using a rather tongue in cheek delivery.  So I am not sure why you took such objection to the rather informative posts.
By the way, none of the above would stop me from purchasing and using the product if I was so inclined.
By the way Tim, we are practically neighbors. I am near West Lebanon, just over the border on the Vermont side. I am glad your product is so well received. I don’t think my system has enough resolution to take advantage of the TC. Maybe soon though when I upgrade to a more powerful new tube amplifier.
Grannyring, your misreading Geoff's typically silly posts.  I was saying I wouldn't worry about using TC, only worry about cutting up the two dimensional sheets of graphene.  Geoff is arguing with me by repeating what I stated in the first place.  Then going off on a typical geoff look at how much I know rant.

Hi Tommy,

The email I sent to you was the first I have sent on A'gon, which is to say I am not very familiar with their system.  I had checked where I thought I would see if you responded and now see it was the wrong place and just read your email.  Will contact you next time I am heading North and would love to hear your system.  I do get to Burlington occasionally.  By the way, I have an incredible person who repairs gear in Montpelier if you ever need his service.  His prices are totally fair compared to the few times I used other local shops and his work first rate.  I just had him completely refurbish and upgrade a Thorens TD-160.

George

I don't know why you are picking on Geoff.  If you check his seller ratings he is among, if not, the highest on A'gon.
