I never found or cared for any power conditioner installed in my system. The mains transformer on the ground is about 40 ft from my breaker panel which is in my audio room. I treated the conduit coming up from the ground as well as the box that my meter is attached and the breakout cable that goes from that same meter box into my panel on the other side of the wall all with Total Contact.. Amazing difference but not as much as placing a Omega Mat on my transport and another on my preamp. This is what power conditioning should be all about...very impactful in so many ways. Tom |

Omega Mat is like having a conditioner that takes up no rack space requires no AC power and no guici power cord.
It is portable so you can put it wherever you think it may work the best. You can take it to a friends house to demo..there is no muss no fuss..nothing to tear down and hook back up. Heck you dont even need to put it on Audiopoints to allow it to perform its best..I will try it under a cello decked out with my reactive devices. Tom |

Anything I say is just conjecture..other than it is not a totally rigid surface and is somewhat compliant.
Tim has shared some ideas and insights with me before but none I am aware of that relate to the Omega Mat. He is tight with all of that.

The Mat increases the reactivity of my cello endpins by about 30%. They have by design a reactive core. Now I need to find a way to implement the Mat in conjunction with an installed endpin in a performance cello.Tom

Its all about interfering energy..in this case a conflict. Much like using direct mechanical coupling and then using de- coupling as a counter. How by mixing multiple energies..speeds ...directions ..attack..decay and phase angles..and then add time as it will relate to breakin and then what you may hear and feel..The only relationship in testing all these devices at the same time and place is conflict and false conclusions. Try and take hold of that soup sandwich and wrap your brain around that.
Remove one or all similar devices and apply the new device for sonic comparison. How else can you find the sonic truth the good or bad. Tom

If you move the E Mat less than 1/2 inch away from a ferrous material or shelf there is 0 pull force..I think there will be virtually 0 chance of magnetic interference while using the E Mat with any product. Tom |

Just dropped in to see what condition my condition is in.
The E Mat is an easily portable and near malleable power conditioner that will make I think any audio system sound more enjoyable. The fact that it can even make a power conditioner sound better makes me want to say who needs a power conditioner.. except perhaps as a connecting block for all the a/c cords. Maybe better off with a quality empty box milled and drilled for your favorite duplex and then mechanically direct coupled to the Mother of all grounds. When the credit card E Mat shows its face maybe stacked multiples ...could be placed inside to condition what condition your condition is in..Tom

I agree with everything you have stated.
In my work with real acoustic instruments I have found that when a new adjustment or device is introduced into their system path way there is a period of acceptance and also of expansion of soundscape and dynamics.
While this expansion of sound is like filling a tub with water or a balloon with air when the valve is released the sonic impression lingers until over a period of time it is gone. I have found the same of many audio devices and the same is true of the E Mats particularly in this comparison.
Unless your fully aware and patient this ebb and flow of energy within a device or system or in the confines of an audio room may be difficult at first to absorb and understand. Many times its not just what you hear but what you see and feel in the musicians motions and expressions and this is best related in my room with both TC and the Emats. Tom |

I painted the conduit that is exposed above ground from an area transformer. The conduit then heads into my meter outside my house..also treated the output box and lead into my breaker panel box on the interior wall that is in my audio room. The meter and breaker panel back up to each other on a common wall. Inches of cable connect the two .. Noticed an improvement right away..A few weeks later I started with the E Mats..Full speed ahead from there. Tom

In the case of a heating element inside a wet tank there maybe a change in the conductive material when the applied voltage is preconditioned in some way. This preconditioning may also alter the chemical build up of deposits on the heating element that may affect the efficiency of the element and its heat transfer to the water held in the tank. The same may be true of the bimetal reaction of the thermo sensor/coupler that may alter its reference calibration range. There may be more examples of such change in other devices..The fact that these examples are being reported should not be quickly dismissed. It's always good to know more today than yesterday..even the search may teach us more. Tom |
Nine days ago I placed 3 Emats in my friends system. 1 Mat each on the breaker box 40 ft from his audio system and the others on his dac and transport. The system was on when I arrived and he told me it had been spinning for a couple of hours..I had listened to these same components many time before and was never at ease at how the music made me feel. I brought music that I had just listened to on my home system and then listened to the same music on my friends system prior to placing the Emats as stated above. Same physical sensation...not at ease and not relaxed.
After placing the mats and playing the same music..within a minute or two I was now relaxed and at at total ease. Wow the turn around in how the music made me feel was amazing. No longer were my eyes and head moving around nor was body aimlessly wandering around on the chair in search of all the musical parts coming together. Now what I saw and heard was in much better alignment and symmetrical form. And yes I was toe tapping..but in no time at all I found myself nodding off..all of this with new found details in the music. Amazing how the Emats enhance the musical experience almost as if I were surrounded by calm waters at the Captiva beach.
Okay that was day 1 now to day 9 or even before. My friend called to tell me his wife and daughter took notice that the 3 TVs in their house were much brighter and more colorful and less grainy than before the installation of the Emats.The only Mat of the 3 that could have made an impression on the flat screens was the Mat on the breaker panel .They also made positive comments on the sound system and one was caught playing air guitar..never before. Next day after that visual was announced the same 2 women complained to my friend that he needed to turn the electric water heater down as the water was way to hot. An Emat placed on an audio component would have no impact on an electric water heater but may if there was a Mat attached to the breaker panel. I think there will be many more common devices and surfaces that will benefit with the placement and use of the Emat.Tom

As a past president stated and was scoffed at..keep your tire pressure at the suggested pressure and you will increase your gas mileage 5% and save $$..Multiply that savings times all the cars and trucks on the planet..Even if it was less it would be huge gain for all of us.
If the E Mat made for some net gain 2% or more that too would be considerable.
I see a test on several types of devices under tight control of temperature and humidity. The same devices held tightly to regulated voltage...and then again on the same line feed but this time an unregulated line voltage. Unregulated is the real world. I suppose we would look for a drop in current draw as well as a drop in operating temperature..maybe more? Tom |

You have to dig deep into your own pockets to be able to defend your patent. That is another reason not to patent. If you actually had a break thru in technology you can only hope to have a company that has integrity and deep pockets to come in and buy you up or some large portion of your position. I am not sure that even a bullitt proof NDA written on graphene would offer an inventor protection during a one year discovery period while courting outside investment Tom |
An attorney wouldnt take a contigencey on a patent case. No way. Rambus who had or still has the patent on RAM memory chips did nothing but sue and be sued by companies from around the world for at least 15 yrs..They had very few employees...their greatest expense were legal fees. Their stock went down 40% one morning after a district court ruled in favor of a German chip maker.
After years of more lawsuits and big bucks the case was over ruled. By that time the wind was lost in their sails/sales and so were many investors..and yes they finally received damage compensation. But to continue to bankroll that ordeal you need to have resourses to Stand up and Fight. Tom |

I have 2 E cards that I tried out on my mono amps. I placed each on the top case over where the mechanically grounded transformers reside. I walked away to sit down at my work table again and knew there was an immediate change and one for the better. I was watching news on DTV and not listening to music..the program content was not of a relaxing subject but the bloom of sonic air was certainly more relaxed and open with the E Cards in place. I was not expecting this result at all based on the mass, size of the amplifier its placement and the small stature of the E Cards. With my current workload and travel plans my friend has the E Cards now and is quite high on their performance ..one on his transport the other on his dac. All positive for sure..Tom |
