Question for Tyler Reference Monitor owners

I recently purchased a pair of Tyler Reference Monitors and wanted to know how other owners set the switch by the binding posts. I understand that the "up" position is neutral and the "down" position lowers the upper midrange frequencies by 3 dB. I have mine set in the "up" position.

I use the down position which seems to recess images a bit giving the illusion of deeper soundstage. It really is subtle difference, try both and see what you prefer.

Also I had special stands made for me by Tyler to make overall speaker/stand height 39-40" tall......because Reference monitors are 18" tall when on most 24" stands they actually set 43" overall which is too high for my tastes.
I own a pair but thought it was actually opposite of what you said? I thought nuetral was down & up was the 3db cut?
