I left him negative feedback and he kept saying that I just wanted to keep his money. Audiogon fines you for backing out of an offer, but the seller does not get the money, no surprise there.
After corresponding with the gent further, I realized that English was a second language for him and he had not grasped the intricacies of the Agon system.
I emailed Audiogon and requested that they cancel the negative feedback and customer service was kind enough to do so.
