Sub placement

Many say the CRAWL ON THE FLOOR method is best for sub placement.I have two front firing subs. I have not read anywhere what direction to face the sub when you find the good sounding spot. Do you face it toward your listing spot or face it to an opposite wall or a back wall???

Paul McGowan of PS Audio just finished a detailed blog series on this. It looked quite thorough and sensible, although I don't have a sub to try it.

You can check it out at:

He posts his blog once a day and the subwoofer series was done in a week or two.
