Usijng two different subwoofers

I would like to add another subwoofer to my system. I currently own a B&W ASW 850 15" model. They are no longer made. Could I use another brand, such as the Velodyne DD15 15" with great results in my system, depsite being a different brand? They are both acoustic suspension and I use the SMS-1 on the B&W already.

For stereo, definately no. You should not only have the same brand, but also the same model.

For home theater it depends, if you have one in front, and the other at the back of your room it can work well.
