VTL Compact 100 bias instructions

Hello, I just picked up a pair of Manley Compact 100 monoblocks. Do any of you fine fellows know hot to bias this amp?

Thanks in advance for any help you might offer.

Happy July 4th

Hi:
If you go to http://www.manleylabs.com/techpage/Manuals.html
I think you will likely find a manual that details the procedure.

You might also look at http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?aamps&1213370405 for my comments about specific issues with the Manley 50's.

If this does not get your answer, at the top of the first link, send your inquiry to EvaAnna Manley. She very regularly responds to general customer service inquiries. Customer Service doesn't get much better than at Manley.
An article was published in the August 1990 issue of a now defunct magazine called AUDIO, in which the Compact 100 was reviewed and extensive specifics and measurements were reported.
In that article, the writer notes the "relatively low plate current per output tube, 26 to 32 mA, that is set at the factory."
Also, the writer continues, "The Compact 100 has a single control to adjust overall bias, ... This makes it possible to run up the bias by turning one control, instead of commutating among the four individual bias controls ..."
So, there are five bias pots: one master and one for each of four tubes. Adjust the bias of each tube and, then, you can raise of lower overall bias using the master control.
