If your not hearing CD quality sound or better something in your system isn't right...I use a simple Quad VA-One Streaming Control Amp to Dynaudio speakers & the sound is easily CD quality from Pandora... So what speakers & amp are you using?Cables?Listening distance from speakers?Room treatments?Can you pinpoint what in the sound needs attention? |
@freediver hello i have a pair of dali euphonia ms5 speakers, adge nl10 amp , benchmark dac3 pre amp , ps audio p10 power plan , realcable 3 runs per speaker made from pure coper , realcable rca cables made from pure silver ,silver coper usb cable for my mac , and monster cable powerline 400 signature series power cables for all my equipment ,, my room is about 18x13 ft and 7,6 ceiling i am still working with my audio panels and bass traps , but i don’t think the quality is good from tidal , music dosen’t have deph , it sounds a bit flat |
Your system looks well balanced,plenty of power & speakers that should image & stage well..I've never heard your gear but have heard Dali speakers farther down the line & know they can stage & image with the best..My best guess is either the power cables are the weak link OR you are simply hearing Solid State gear through VERY revealing speakers and need tubes to bring the system life... |
dimitris7 if this is the first week with the system those speakers are going to need SERIOUS run in to completely open up...The Zensors I had didn’t come alive till wayy after 300 hours,sounding as you described,tonally flat & boomy on the bottom.I also recall they sounded best fired straight ahead,no toe in...As for the room first kill any reflections(echo's)...Give everything a good run in & then re access. |
