If you want to keep things neutral (I like cables that get out of the way) I would look at Nordost or Morrow Audio. IMO.
Very interesting how one person's "neutral" is another person's "colored".
Anyway, I would wait until you have upgraded your digital front end (?), then decide which direction you wish to go from there.
Because what I have found to hold true is that changing something major (source, amp, speakers) may well cause you to want to go in a different direction with the cables.
ALL components and cables are tone controls, whether folks like to admit it or not. One change often leads to another.
Some tune their system with cables, while others tune their system with components. Most tune their system to match their own personal tastes.
It seems as if you like the Synergistic Research brand, if that is the case, maybe you look for another pair of Synergistic Research interconnects.
