width of marantz 15s1 or clearaudio emotion

i'm considering purchasing either the marantz 15s1 or the clearaudio emotion but i'm not sure they will fit in my cabinet. can someone that owns one of these models tell me the maximum width of the turntable? i know the width listed by the manufacturer is 16.75 inches, but when playing a record the tonearm will extend beyond the base of the player increasing the maximum width. but i don't how much the tonearm will add to the max width.
