Akg_ca- How was MAC? I saw them last year, and they were excellent. This was before Christine rejoined.
HEART on 7/27. The whole band is in fine form. Especially Ann, who looks fantastic. I thought they were great. Only a tad over 90 minutes, but no filler. Well worth the price of admission. Dayglow- I hear you about Steely Dan. I was glad I saw them around 5 years ago, and at Tanglewood of all places. I have to say I really enjoyed that show, but again, five years ago.
Bdp24- Saw Joan Osborne about 5 years ago at the Mahawwie theatre in the Berkshires. She was great. I'm going to try to catch her again at The Egg, which is coming up soon. So far this summer, Jackson Browne at Tanglewood, and The Doobies at Spac. Ok, ok, I admit it.... Journey played with the Doobies. But I went to see the Doobies. They were in fine form, as was Mr. JB. (-:
Heart at SPAC on Thursday. They put on a great show. I saw them last year, and they were great then too. They only play about 1.5 hrs, but this time there were two opening bands to stretch out the evening.
Beth Hart- last night in the Albany area. I highly suggest checking her out, if she is your thing. She was really great!
schubert- Indeed Cohoes Music Hall is still going. We have Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Proctors, The Palace, and SPAC for the summer months. Capital District is pretty good... If I move, I won't miss the weather or the high taxes. But I digress (-:
That's too funny. I go to the Egg more often than all the others, and forgot about it. I've enjoyed many shows there. Ray Manzarek/Robby Krieger, Gregg Allman solo, Beth Hart, Keb Mo.... Great venue. Proctors these days is mostly all plays, but they do have an occasional concert. I'm 51, and If I live to retire, it won't be in Albany. The price of civilization in the Carolina's is much more civilized. (-:

Sting at SPAC last week. He is in good voice, I enjoyed the show more than I expected.... I ’m a casual fan of The Police, only have their first 3 LP’s, and Nothing Like the Sun. I have to admit these have collected some dust, with the exception of Zenyatta. Needless to say, I played Outlandos and Regatta since the Sting Concert. I would love to see him with Andy Summers, and Stwewart Copeland.

9/16/17 YES (ARW) @ Massey Hall.  Fully Concur with tom6897.  Outstanding! What an honor to get to see these guys in such good form. It has to be nearly 50 years since the first Yes LP was released. The fact that Jon is still in such good form is pretty darn amazing.
Foreigner @ SPAC last Saturday the 16th. My expectation was sort of middle ground. I expected a good to very good show. I would say they were Very good to Excellent. Very enjoyable show. Earlier that same week, I made it to MSG (my 1st time) to see Def Leppard and Journey, who opened. The sound for Journey was so horrendous I can’t begin to grade the performance. So compressed and loud it was painful. The Def Leppard sound guy must have turned a knob the right direction, because it became listenable. But still not good sound by any stretch. It was good enough to enjoy DL, but what a shame the sound was so bad.
