Tube Preamp with Rega SS and Totem Hawks?
I need help on this issue. Currently running all Rega components (Jupiter2000 cd, Cursa3 pre, Exon3 monos)with Totem Hawk speakers (86db,6 ohm).
I would like to experiment with a nice TUBE preamp/amp. There are obvious limitations due to the efficiency level of the Totems. So a good tube preamp might be the best place to begin. Anyone have any experience running a tube preamp with Rega Exon3 solidstate amps? Furthermore, any experience running 86db/6ohm speakers with Tube amps? What type of power would be needed for this type of setup?
