Best band of the 80's

Police are the first band that came to mind, they were truley awesome.

Ah, but Ben, without the music there is no audio equipment, and without audio equipment there IS no Audio forum...

I am not *voting* for either of the following just mentioning Bon Jovi and Def Leppard; two, of several, 80's bands that come to mind.

I'm from Jersey, best rock band in the 1980's was Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Here's a recap of the band's releases in the 80's:

1. The River
2. Nebraska -- solo effort.
3. Born in the USA
4. Tunnel of Love.

Need I say more.

My second choice is Flock of Seagulls. Just kidding -- how about Tears for Fears?

Seriously, I would put The Police, Til Tuesday and Peter Gabriel on my list, just below the Boss. Honorable mentions to The Cure, Rush, NXS.
