He liked the Definition so much he traded in his Druid/Method combo.

Personally, I think Zu is really on to something with their designs and I have put them at the top of my review list. FYI - I have no financial interest in Zu at all... just curious.

Lousyreeds1, I have no disagreement with the fact that Srajan bought the speakers because he liked them best. Still, I question whether he would have bought them at $9000, or even at $7650. Further, I take issue with anyone recommending a $9000 product as a good value when that person didn't pay anything near retail. The value of a product can elevate significantly when one gets a "good deal". Just look at all the users of Electraglide Epiphany power cords. Do you think there would be as many satisfied owners if they were all paying $6000 retail, instead of the ~$1300 street price available any day of the week?

I know accomodation pricing is part of the business, but it's a pet peeve.

Zu offers a 60 day satisfaction guarantee with 30days more on request. How many manufactures do this? If they not your cup of tea send them back.
But, he owned Avantgarde Duos before. They retail at $20k. Even if he got them at cost, he's comparing "apples to apples", even if the total dollars are smaller.
Another way to look at it is he had the Avantgardes, at 20k and he likes the Zu's better at 9k. Whether he got them free or paid 1000 to 7000 for them, I don't care. It's arguable whether 9k for anything is a value. It is not arguable that 9k is less than 20k.
Another way to look at it is that he's just a guy with a set of ears and an opinion.
