Synergistic Red Fuse ...

I installed a SR RED Quantum fuse in my ARC REF-3 preamp a few days ago, replacing an older high end fuse. Uhh ... for a hundred bucks, this little baby is well worth the cost. There was an immediate improvement upon installation, but now that its broken in (yes, no kidding), its quite remarkable. A tightening of the focus, a more solid image, and most important of all for my tastes, a deeper appreciation for the organic sound of the instruments. Damn! ... cellos sound great! Much improved attack on pianos. More humanistic on vocals. Bowed bass goes down forever. Next move? .... I'm doing the entire system with these fuses. One at a time though just to gauge the improvement in each piece of equipment. The REF-75se comes next. I'll report the results as the progression takes place. Stay tuned ...

Any comments from anyone else who has tried these fuses?

Ha! I like the description of the black fuse on the cable co. site. They actually said " once you go black..."

I'll probably try one in my dac since it only takes one fuse.
I just contacted high-end electronics to see if they would give me credit for the two most recently purchased RED's for the BLACKS if I pay the difference in price. They have a 30 day refund policy. We'll see what they say.  Stay tuned ...
Highend is where I get my fuses. Alfred is great to deal with. Let us know if and when he has the black in stock.

Good point!   I purchased my fuses from theCableCo so will ask about 30 days refund ...
Oregonpapa,
These new Black fuses  could be as good as advertised given the performance gap of the SR 20 to their Red fuse improvement. The Black could possibly be a fantastic value in the overall scheme of things.
To put it in perspective, still far less expensive than changing the components
