Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

thieliste - I drove about six hours each way when I picked up my 2.7's. 
Well worth it in my view, but everyone thought I was crazy.
Anyone have tales to tell on lengths they were willing to go to get theirs?
I think someone mentioned a shipping nightmare in this thread somewhere....

Great road-trip story robinbarbour


I traveled 12 hrs one way to pick up my CS 2.4SE speakers last January.

Wonderful trip, met a fellow Audiophile and pleasant gentleman, listened to my speakers prior to taking ownership.  IMO, certain gear is not meant to be shipped per parcel. I will travel anywhere in the USA to audition and pick up only the very best gear (as I would not want it shipped/possibly damaged.)
