Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Hi Chris,
It seems that once again our ears hear similarly. I use the EML XLS as an output tube in my amplifier. You’re using this tube as a driver tube in your amplifier and we have the same listening impressions of it.

I’m beginning to believe that driver tube selection  is as important/influential as the output power tube. You should extract many years of service from this superb tube.

I've read enough! I just ordered a pair, also bronzed orange. I will be able to compare them to my Janszen hybrid electrostats in another system. They will replace my current Monitor Audio GX300 Gold which were a bit more expensive a few years ago.

Good for you and I hope you really like them and you might be pleasantly surprised.

That will be a interesting comparison between the Janzen hybrid ESL's,They are a very nice sounding and unique speaker and David Janzen is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Wow, bronzed orange that should be really stunning and different,that's the cool thing using auto paint you have so many choices.

My wife is very forgiving of my audio passions but with our decor,my black metallics do match best.

I am actually going to be replacing a set of Final Sound Electrostats in my surround and a set of Apogee Ribbons with mine. Let me know what you think when you get them. I think you will get yours first.

I feel like an old fuddy duddy having ordered black metallic when everyone else is ordering orange!
