Vintage hi powered Pioneer receivers tend to be a bit overly warm and bass heavy...which is why I would recommend a modern mini monitor type since you have space constraints....all the vintage lushness associated with Pioneer with the speed, articulation, and resolution of todays technology...that being said...some Klipsch kg 4 or Polk Monitor sda series would be fun...good luck!
