Pioneer SX 1050 Recommended Speakers

The JBL is a good recommendation... might look at ESS

Vintage hi powered Pioneer receivers tend to be a bit overly warm and bass heavy...which is why I would recommend a modern mini monitor type since you have space constraints....all the vintage lushness associated with Pioneer with the speed, articulation, and resolution of todays technology...that being said...some Klipsch kg 4 or Polk Monitor sda series would be fun...good luck!

I still say the L100 Century. Yes, vintage Pioneer is warm (which is why I loved Pioneer in the 70's), and still, unless you must have bookshelf speakers, I still say JBL. If floor space were not an issue, I would have said Rectilinear. Bookshelf? I kind of liked the EPI 100's.

How about a Snell E? Very solid speaker.

Question, I am considering DIY speakers, I am an experienced woodworker with and making speaker cabinets is no problem. Any suggestions on DIY kits where I can make the cabinet but the kit provides all the hardware, preferably a tower.
