@Widespreadpanic > Hello, my name is WisepreadPanic and I’m an addict
Blindjim > congratulations! You can not fix a problem you do not have. Accepting you have a serious condition enables you to do something about it.
Once you have put together a few outfits front to back, let’s call these a series of relapses, you’ll figure out how to regain control and find balance from your disease.
Or you’ll be bankrupt and further involvement will be problematic. Here is where your disease mysteriously escalates
You’ll have to do some B&E’s at local and thereafter distant Audio dealerships.
If you are by then fortunate enough to have avoided jails, prisons, and nut houses, stand by. It is gonna get worse, never better.
No longer will you be happy with simply using one amp per speaker. You’ll soon be into bi amping and tri amping. You’ll be hungry for multi channel audio. 7.2 systems just won’t do any more!
You’ll buy adapters so you can daisy chain power cords together. You’ll use tower speakers as your go to headphones. There won’t be any floor space in the house to walk on because of all the gear laid about. At first. Suddenly it will all disappear.
The descent into your disease continues because once you’ve tasted those goodies, you will then have to begin stealing and robbing liquor stores and banks to get enough money to buy still more expensive gear than you already stole.
Yes. New gear highs last less and less so the need for a new gear fix develops an aggressive appetite seemingly all of its own accord. Then, the gbeast will tell you what to do and when to do it as you are at that point merely a slave with no obvious choice or options in the matter.
Eventually, only anguish and severe depression will ensue. But with enough pain, you’ll then bust the right move. Hopefully. Only then can your actual recovery begin. Maybe you are there already.
I believe you will have to start your own recovery program though as I’ve never heard of Audio Alholics Anonymous ()A.A.A.( meetings being advertized or even listed in the blue pages of the phone book.
You will be a pioneer!
Caution: dialing up AAA immediately probably is not gonna be a worthwhile conversation as they’re expertise lays in a completely different area.
Good luck.
