Audioquest or Transparent?

Here is my curent system: YBA 1 preamp, YBA 2HCDT amp with JMlab MINI utopia speaker. And I have the choice of Audioquest above the caldera and Transparent above the ultra for speaker cable. I want to have the most musical cable and to be able to hear all the micro details. And the cable that suits the most my system. And don't tell me about other cable brand as I only want one of those two brand.

I am approaching 68, what's 15 years? I use mostly Audioquest cables, well designed and built, and easy to purchase used as they are popular and have been around a long time.
I've listened to both extensively, and own AQ.  Transparent is a lot of hype and meddling with signals IMO.

My 2 cents so take it for what it's worth. I'm not a big fan of either but it's all system dependent. As a Magnepan owner with tubes it just wasn't a good match. I found Transparent to be too analytical and AQ to be kind of  dull. Now the caveat is that I'm basing this on their high end cables and not their uber high end. I personally found the Tara Labs cables to be more natural and musical for my system and to be honest I have never looked back. Take all of this with a grain of salt, again it's system and room dependent and quite frankly what is appealing to your ears. Good luck, do your research, have fun and don't over complicate things. Only you have to like it. Easy listening.

Cheers

I think Transparent cables once you get into Reference level of MM2 or higher or newer Gen 5 is a very nice cable. Below the Reference line is not bad, but you can get equal or close to it for less money.
