Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Thanks.

Break-in of the DI SE is going well. I don’t have the new MicroZOTL Preamp yet but the UltraLinear fed direct from my Modwright Oppo 205 is outstanding. It sounds so real it’s scary. I love this amp and I love these speakers.
It's exciting to hear the news coming out of Aric Audio about his new PP especially in its description of harmonics and closing the gap with the classic SET sound. My loyalty is steadfast to my Special SE if for no other reason, I've never had a piece of equipment that continually reminded me of why I listen to music in the first place -- across years now. I will stay tuned though, because this new creation is capturing the interest of many and I like being on the front row for that kind of thing.  Congratulations Aric, and Thank You.
Thanks guys! I too think it's cool seeing all of the different gear used to drive those Tektons, which appear to be very efficient and dynamic speakers- everything from 10 watts of SET power, to hundreds of solid state watts. It's all very cool! Of course, I'm slightly polarized towards a single-ended presentation due to it's linearity and lack of crossover distortion, but coming from many years of high-powered solid state background, I can understand the affinity for the power. I try to shoot for the best blend of both in my designs, while maintaining the color, timbre, and naturalness of the presentation.
@david_ten   Yes, I've been in contact with grey9hound and waltersalas.  I'm going to plan an good road trip around the great smoky mountains to listen to DI's.  It will be June before I can do such a trip, but I'll post my thoughts.  I'm guessing it will just confirm that my next set of speakers will be DI's.

Terrific news. You are one of the few that will get to listen to the DIs and the SEs prior to making a choice. All the best!
