ROON - EQ any good?

Folks,

I'm currently using a Raspberry Pi with the old squeezebox based system for streaming my digital library to my DAC.

I'm thinking of switching to Roon.  I understand Roon has some EQ features.  I'm getting rid of a old Z-systems RDP-1 digital preamp/eq (one reason, room on my rack used up) which is transparent in it's EQ operations, and I'm hoping that the Roon EQ would be of similar quality in terms of adding a little dip here or there with no other hits to sound quality.

Anyone have experience with using the Roon EQ or it's technical merits?

Thanks!

You should try Roon - I doubt you will ever go back to squeezebox - the interface is excellent.
I use Roon and the EQ option in its DSP. Roon sounds terrific with Tidal and is an absolute joy to use. The EQ works great with no real ill effects as long as you are not heavy handed with its use.  I have used it tame  2-4K just slightly on one set of speakers and use it now to boost the lowest bass by 2 dB or so.  Great tool and way to fine tune with the emphasis on Fine.
