speaker capacitors-----leave alone or does it open pandora's box ?

opened up my speakers and noticed that they use Audyn capacitors.        while the speakers sound good, are there better capacitors out there ? and if yes, could these be changed out and if they were, what effect does it have on the sound

wondering also could  better drivers be bought  for the speakers ?

Audin is the good brand , but they have 4 different lines from very cheap
regular lines to pure copper top of the line.  I get chance to open
very expensive (15K ) aluminum monitors from  famous brand ( i dont want to mention) , and was surprise to see cheapest Audin capacitor( red color , about $1 value )
they use in crossover
I would say if you have really not done any tweaking or rebuilding of audio equipment: Do NOT do it.Start with something less dear. Buy a $20 pair of speakers at Goodwill and tweak them!   You will discover you can change the sound BAD as well as good. LOL   If you do go ahead with the idea.   Be prepared for failures, confusion and pain. Also remember the caps need to break in, so they may be the right ones, but you failed to give them the three months they needed...
Hey Toyo,

Many Audyn fans out there, but they do vary. What speakers did you open up and what color are the caps?

My advice is if you want to play, get the Audyn True Copper 0.1uF caps and try them out as bypass caps to your treble and midrange.

Best,

E
