Polite Rules for discussing Audio related things

The polite rules for discussing audio:
Folks post three types of messages:
Questions ,about audio function, method, what to buy..
Answers to other folks questions..
And blogging. I bought this, I did this, here is my experience
Allow others to say and describe what they experience and hear.   Allow then to offer reasons without arguing.   If it is a blog, stop telling them what to do! They don't want you arguing, just wanted to say I did this.
Offer POSITIVE responses. If you disagree with them, do so in a polite and friendly way.
Offer alternatives without aggressive language. And above all, stop tit for tat aggression. Turn the other cheek dudes, turn the other cheek.
What do you think would help create a friendly happy place to discuss audio?

Where are the real moderators? They hide in the shadows and seemingly never speak.

I wish that we could vote comments up and down like Reddit, follow users, and block users that we don’t want to hear from.

It would solve a lot of problems and prevent the alleged need for soap box speeches about how we should and shouldn’t behave...like we are kindergartners.

Whoa!!--- Don't call for the old moderating days--when all has to be approved by the hierarchy over a Looonnng Lunch! now at least someone up top has seen a light and we can Post without passing
the Pressure Test.

Elizabeth has good intentions and what is a posting without dear Geoffrey to the fore!

All good fun--carry on chaps!

Count me in for giving the OP the power to delete posts from someone who attempts to degrade or derail the topic.
I'm all for letting the OP decide the content and direction of the thread.  If the OP wants to keep tight control of a topic I'm OK with that.  Anything goes,,, well that's OK too.  A good healthy disagreement can be just as informative as a "group hug" type of thread.
Let the OP decide.
Personally, what I dislike the most is when a responder or responders hijack a thread, and take the conversation in a direction that has absolutely nothing to do with the OP's question or concern.  All too often the thread regresses to a sniping session and the initial subject is destroyed.
It's times like this when the OP should have the power to get the thread back, "on topic".
If you don't like the way a particular OP restricts threads,,, don't read his or her posts!
I can't speak for anyone else but myself, but with so many of these threads ending up off topic, I'm no longer as enthused about opening up Audiogon as I used to be.
