How many members have climate controlled listening rooms

I found the magic temperature is 66-68 and humidity 48. I have a little portable AC supplement my central AC. When I had my old central AC and ductwork ripped out this week it took them from Wed to 7:30 Friday night to get it going. Temps got to over 80 and was very humid around 62 percent. My system did sound more shrill. I will admit I do have some other factors to consider. Breaking in a new preamp, CD player speaker cables ,power cable to CD player and a new dedicated line burning in. Ok thats a lot to consider but over time I have noticed temperature and humidity are not to be discounted. Right now the house is a cool 71. My listening room is 68 with 52 humidity and my stereo has never sounded better. Have you noticed hi end dealers have their buildings very cool. Or is that just me,

Where's your thermostat.  In My house, there was too much variation in temp/humidity, so I got a thermostat with remote sensors that communicate on line....very much better. (Ecobee)
Oh i need to check that out. i just had a new AC and thermastat installed last week. I also have a humidifier I use in the winter months
Unless you live in a natural cave, or a tent, I think you have a 'climate controlled' environment. I like it warm. And I keep my living areas at 80F year round. (Wisconsin winters I am lucky the place has good heat) I allow the apt to get up to mid 80's in Summer. rather than spend a small fortune on air conditioning..I spend my (tiny) fortune on audio equipment!
