Powercon connectors for AC

I am curious if anyone has direct experience insing any of the Powercon AC connectors?  I need to change out a power cord on an older tube amp and it is far easier to make a round hole than creating a square hole for an IEC receptacle.  Any drawbacks to the Powercon connectors?

There are no drawbacks of which I'm aware. I have an old 20A API isolation transformer that uses a Neutrik Powercon connector, and never had an issue.
the neutrik powercon in my opinion will give you a better grip, holds better than the regular iec plugs.  the only drawback i can see is that you can’t use other after market power cords.  you are stuck with the powercon type power cords and most manufacturer do not make powercon power cords.  happy listening!
Thanks for the input.  This is an older Quicksilver tube amp that I want to use as a stop gap.  I got to believe that any one that is interested in purchasing it later would appreciate a far better power cable than the stock cable/connection type.
