Brooklyn DAC+ Anyone?

Hey Folks,

I did some searches and did not see anyone claiming to have the DAC+.  Saw one positive review from a site of which I am unfamiliar.  I prefer reviews where there is listening and testing so perhaps we will have to hope for Stereophile or HiFi News to get one but that will probably take some time.

I have a DAC+ on backorder with MusicDirect so hopefully any bugs will be exterminated before I get mine.  I am also hoping for more details on the circuit changes.

i am running a MacBook pro - AudNirvana - Wyred4Sound ReClocker - PreSonus USB DAC - AirPulse Model 1 active speakers all plugged into a Furman PL1 power conditioner. Tidal alomost exclusively..
sounds great. I am sure the better Brooklyn DAC and those FAB B51s will totally rock..

JK    Any feedback on the Navis speakers ? Been considering but not much out there for reviews except the great TAS review. Thanks.

So.........sorry for just getting back to you all but I have been buried swapping components out :)
Currently sitting with:

  1. Elac Navis ARB51 
  2. REL T9/i with Crossover Open all the Way!
  3. Parasound P6
  4. Clearaudio Concept Wood with CA MC Cartridge
  5. Pro-Ject Streambox Ultra from iMac Mini Roon Core into the P6
As Robob said I needed a Cartridge with more mids so I went for a turntable to match, GLAD I DID!

  • Next step for me is to audition some linear PSU’s for the TT and Streambox, possibly a Nucleus+ at some point this spring.
  • For Now this sounds several levels above where I expected it too and for my smallish room it will be incremental changes to this setup heretofore. Very impressed with all of these components for under $10K including Room Treatments.
