do they record it with the same way ?

what are the HDCD exactly .. ?

is it worth right now to invest for SACD player ?
i was looking into the sony 999ES DVD/SACD that seems to be pretty good :)
jinmtvt
doens't the SACD goes from 0HZ to 44KHZ ??
i think i read that somewhere..
but doesn't our ears only get from 23-24HZ+ to 22KHZ ?

What do you think about SACD multichannel ?
does it really helps with the reproduction of the music ?
What is presently the BEST for music quality ?

talking digital,vynil ...
I also will not ever buy SACD and anytging that plays it -- costly and not everything you can get in this format. HDCD is almost like a regular red-book CD: could be worse and could be better depending on the recording quality. There is an actual possibility to comapre HDCD with regular one by buying Dire Straits "Love Over Gold" album that had been remastered for HDCD format. HDCD certainly sonds much better. Also there are few more albums from Dire Strats had been remastered to HDCD. My collection of Dire Straits (average price is $3 for each record) is analogue and no HDCD can beat it! Analogue vinyls and turntable are my SACDs and SACD-player!
Maybe your dogs ears go to 22Khz, but if your over 20, you probably don't go much past 16 Khz. HDCD is an excellent attempt to get superior sound with a minimum of extra cost. Unlike XRCD and SACD, they cost the same as regular CDs. There are many at $11.99 list. Also HDCD discs sound betteron non HDCD players because the HDCD A/D conversion is superior.
ok
i understand more now :)

so wich brand offers HDCD readers ?

how to know if a CD is HDCD ?

are all the newest CD's becoming HDCD ?
do most type of music uses it ?

i listen mostly to acid jazz ..weird classical and electronica..
wonder if any of my CDs are HDCD :p
ahah
check out HDCD.com
they have a list of every cd with HDCD encoding.
I have a Denon DCM370, 5-disc changer that has HDCD decoding, and i love it.
check out my post a few weeks ago entitled "favorite HDCD?"
it has a some suggested cd's.
if you're wanting to start getting into hifi, but aren't a millionaire, HDCD is definitely the way to go.
there are HDCD's in pretty much every genre. I listen to trance a lot, as well as acid jazz, and i haven't found any trance hdcd's to date, and dont know if there are any out there. plenty of classical, jazz, new music, old music, but I don't know about electronic music.

good luck, and enjoy
