Linn LP12 ..still a good table??

After 15 years of digital Ive decided like alot to get back into analog.I have been offered an older 1970s LP12 w/Grace arm just serviced with new belts etc for a tad under what the market will support. My question is simply this..Is this table still considered good or should I pass and move onto newer production tables,if so what should I consider (under 1500.00 new or used)..thanks

...the very best turntable on this Planet...and you have uncountable updates to tune it for your taste
Syntax, "...the very best turntable on this Planet..."

Well.....I guess that settles it. :-)
And if it's the very best, Syntax, how come you don't have one in either of your systems?
When the day comes when my Linn Axis dies after almost 25 years of service, I would consider the LP12 as a replacement.

Can't argue against a company that built a table that is still clicking (better than ever with my current configuration I might add)after 25 years. I've gotten my moneys worth out of it 20X over.

Then again my standards in regards to turntables, though I think practically very high, are certainly not the highest out there on this site.
