need suggestion for external CD ripping drive

I think the optical drive in my laptop is about to die, it is making strange noises. Is there a good external drive for ripping CDs that is USB 2.0?

I've been using Seagate external USBs for ripping and backup now for a couple of years and I can highly recommend these. Very reliable and good performance. From what I recall, Plextor used to be the "bee's knees" of internal drives. I assume their external drives are of sufficient quality as well. Look at Newegg.com and see what the reviews say.
