What's your profession? Age?

Just thought after the "how much is your system worth" post that it would be nice to see what all these people do to get $80K systems, and perhaps how long it takes. I'm a 29-year old economist for the gov., just completeed my Ph.D. last month, and my system is at about $10K. Just a pup hoping to keep upgrading...

32 years old Ph.D chemist group leader in R&D for large multinational Pharamceutical company. My system is worth about $15k and is mostly made up of used gear (only brand new is my turntable).
At 58, I am a retired high school chemistry and biology teacher. Now I can sit back and relax and listen to 12Hz organ music at 100dB.
I just turned 40 this month. I'm a plant manager for a large manufacturing company and I just discovered Audiogon about a year ago. My 2 channel system retails for $11k, but Audiogon made it possible for about $7k.
